About Bird-Free

To the human eye Bird Free ® could be mistaken for lemon curd; to our feathered friends it looks like fire!

After a local Sussex newspaper hit the newsstands on 1 April this year with the front page headline ‘Fake fire to scare off town pigeons’ some locals though the story was an April Fool’s hoax. Once television and the national press had picked up on the story of ‘fire gel’, Bird Free was revealed as a breakthrough invention that would effectively drive away nuisance birds, even from a habitat they had been using for years, without harming them. The pest control officer for Horsham, where Bird Free was first used in the UK, declared himself ‘astonished at the results.’
